Having trouble viewing some content
You may be seeing messages on the site such as
"Sorry, you will need to enable your browser's JavaScript
feature to view this content".
JavaScript is required on many websites in order
to run more advanced features which cannot otherwise be used. Having
your browser's JavaScript feature disabled means you may be missing
out on content.
Below is a short piece of text written in JavaScript
which says "This is your JavaScript test message". If you can
see this then your JavaScript settings are okay. If, however, you see
the message: "Sorry, you will need to enable your browser's
JavaScript feature," then you may indeed need to change your
JavaScript settings.
If you see the second message, then your first step towards
resolving this issue is to make sure you are running the latest version of
your browser. If you are using an old version then it is recommended that
you upgrade.
Internet Explorer 6 or 7 (or later) comes as a standard
installation on most Windows-based machines. This is good enough, although
the security levels are excessively restrictive when it is first installed
and the browser itself can be slow and difficult. Firefox 2.0.4 or later
is the primary recommended web browser.
If having either of these this doesn’t solve your viewing
problem or you already have the latest version, or you are using a
non-Windows platform such as Linux, then you may need to alter your
security or JavaScript settings.
